The most important factor in coaching teachers, principals or anyone for this matter is making sure you build a trustworthy relationship. YOU, cannot coach anyone unless you have cultivated a relationship.

Feedback is easy to give but harder to take. As you coach your teachers, principals or anyone there will be times the person you are coaching may feel criticized and there is nothing they are doing correct. so its important to celebrate small wins as well as big wins.

Having a growth mindset is an essential characteristic to become better in your craft. Part of coaching someone is pushing them to their limits so they can become highly effective in all aspects of life.

Celebrating educators with open dialogue amongst other professional will allow time to debate and learn from one another. Here is a video with former Commissioner of Education Cerf.
